THE DA FIRST

alright so i'm proud to announce that I have started a brand new type of medium to draw.........ready for it.........FACIAL HAIR. ha yea sounds crazy but it works for real. I did this piece for my last years art class, Experimental Drawing. My cousin, izzy, taught me a way to write letters if I were ever to be stranded on an island. He told me to simply pull out the hair on my chain put it next to the paper and smudge. So i did and man thats immediately when it hit me that i can do a legit drawing with this. The picture you are looking at shows the before after and middle. all the hairs are in the bowl and this piece took about 8 hours to accomplish. I drew my father while he was in his late 20s and yea this is the first of a series of these. theres a whole lot of meaning and concept behind the figures that are drawn and how it relates to me and shtuff but you can get the full explanation whenever these are put up in a gallery.
